Summer Cross Country
Series Rules
1. Teams must consist of a minimum of five people, and a maximum of seven.
2. Co-Ed teams must have a minimum of two persons of one gender on them.
3. A team may use a substitute at any of the five meets, provided they inform an official of the Illinois Prep Top Times beforehand. Substitutes must enter the individual race on his/her own.
4. Team scoring will be according to the sum of the first five finishers of each team from each race. Teams with the lowest scores win.
5. Series winners will be determined by the lowest total of the sum of all scores from each of the five races. Awards will be distributed at the last race of the series.
6. Teams with less than 5 individuals will be given "last man scoring", meaning they will be given the last individual place for their team score. If two or more individuals are missing, they will be given the last place as well.
7. A team that fails to show up at a race will be withdrawn from the competition.
8. Individuals will be separated into a boys or girls division. There is no co-ed competition among individuals. Persons who are members of a team are also eligible for the individual competition.
9. Points will be given to the top fifteen finishers in each division. At the end of the series, the finishers with the highest point total from each of the five competitions will be declared the winner.
Individual scoring is applied as:

| 14th | place | 2 | points |
| 15th | place | 1 | point |
10. Individuals that fail to show for a race will not accumulate any points.
11. Awards: Plaques will be awarded to the top three teams in each of the divisions. Medals will be awarded to the top ten individuals in each division.
