summer cross country information

You may register as either an individual or as part of a team. 

Teams consist of at least 5 members, and no more than  7 members.  You do not have to be from the same high school.  Entry is limited to persons who will be in high school during the 2007-08 school year.

Teams can be all boys or all girls or co-ed.  Mixed teams must have a 3-2 split (3 boys, 2 girls or 3 girls, 2 boys).  Co-Ed teams with more than five will be scored according to their first three boys and first two girls that finish.

Team scoring will be typical cross country scoring.  Individual places will be tallied and added up, lowest score wins.  There will be separate division standings kept. 

Series standings will be kept by adding team points from each meet.  At the end of the series, total point will be tallied from all five meets and the team with the lowest point total wins.

Individuals will be separated into a boys or girls division.  There is no co-ed competition among individuals.  Persons who are members of a team are also eligible for the individual competition. 

Points will be given to the top fifteen finishers in each division.  At the end of the series, the finishers with the highest point total from each of the five competitions will be declared the winner.

Awards:

Plaques will be awarded to the top three teams in each of the divisions.  Medals will be awarded to the top ten individuals in each division.    

Registration: Register online here or print out a registration form and mail it in to the address at the bottom of the form.

Costs: $70 per individual or $350 per team.  Everyone who enters will receive an Illinois Prep Top Times Summer Cross Country Series Technical T-Shirt.  Fee will also cover entry fees into all races on the circuit.  Some races may require that parents or guardians sign a waiver/release.  In most cases, those forms will be made available beforehand.
